2010 Competition Information
The 2010 Tennessee State Mock Trial Competition will be held March 19-20, 2010, at the Doubletree Hotel in Nashville. The dates and times for the district competitions are set by local coordinators. Please contact your district coordinator for that information.
2010 Case Materials
The 2010 problem is a civil scenario involving a dispute over design and construction of a 400,000-square-foot distribution center featuring a concrete slab-on-grade floor. The central issue at stake is whether the work performed constitutes a breach of contract and/or professional negligence.

Sample Scoresheet
The TBA YLD Mock Trial Committee revised the official score sheet in 2006 to make it more user-friendly. The new version also does away with the overall team performance category, as this was the subject of much confusion in prior years when scorers used the box to subtotal scores instead of awarding a separate score. With this change, the revised score sheet has a maximum of 110 points, as opposed to 120 points in prior years. District coordinators are free to use this score sheet during local competitions; however, it is not necessary to do so. Download the scoresheet |
