Dyer County Information
Shelter: First United Methodist Church, 100 McGaughey Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024

United Service Center:
Hours: Mon. – Sat. 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sun. 1 – 5 p.m.
This one-stop service center for storm victims is located at the Dyersburg Fairgrounds in the metal building next to the National Guard Armory, 502 James H. Rice Rd., Dyersburg. A variety of service agencies will be on-site to assist storm victims. Agencies could include American Red Cross, FEMA, Salvation Army, Matthew 25:40, Reelfoot Rural Ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, United Methodist Church Disaster Response Team, Dyer Baptist Association, DHS, Tennessee Realty Group, United Way and others. Agencies interested in participating should contact American Red Cross, (731) 286-4740.

Volunteers: Anyone wishing to volunteer with the efforts should go to the United Service Center in the Family Living Center at the Dyersburg Fairgrounds.

Contractors: Contractors or businesses wanting to do recovery work must get a pass from the United Service Center. Contractors without passes will be forced to leave the area by law enforcement personnel.

Counseling Services: People needing counseling services should call Bob Miller, Tucker Street Church, (731) 286-0864.

Food: Beginning Wed., April 5, Tyson Foods will cook at the United Service Center for volunteers and storm victims. They will also supply care-ready food to victims.
- American Red Cross will send out mass feeding units to the effected areas.
